Abstract

This paper overviews the clinical research development for treating polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) with acupuncture and moxibustion, and reviews the literature of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for it and concludes that all kinds of acupuncture and moxibustion methods have significant effects on it.Through literatures and reports of recent years,it shows that acupuncture and moxibustion has significant effects on treating PCOS,but there are still some questions in clinic, such as selecting too many points, lack of unified evaluation standard of clinical effect and short of tracking and visiting long-term efficacy. The clinical treatment should be further optimized, the curative effect evaluation standard should be unified, and a more reliable and scientific method of acupuncture and moxibustion should be put forward to clear up long-term efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion.
