Abstract
In recent years, mulberry bacterial wilt as a new bacterial disease was found in Guangxi mulberry orchards.Three strains were isolated from the root and stalk of diseased mulberry trees via tissue separation method.Strain GXE001,the typical strain, was inoculated with mulberry trees, which accorded with the traits of the natural diseased mulberry trees. Then strain GXE001 was identified as the pathogen based on Koch's postulates and pathogenicity test.By morphological observation, common physiological and biochemical test,16S rDNA sequences analysis and homology analysis,GXE001 was determined as Enterobacter cloacae.
