Abstract
With deepening of the energy crisis and enhancement of environment protection,distributed generation(DG) receives more and more attention worldwide.The paper firstly summarizes concepts and classifications of the distributed generation technology,and then analyzes its effects on distribution networks in terms of network planning,line losses,power flows and protection of the power system,as well as its potential influences on the power grid.The paper also outlines major questions to be studied in the near future in the field.
