Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of various left ventricular diastolic state on atrial function in patients with hypertension by diastolic state by using echocardiography and strain rate analyzing. Methods 30 healthy adults(Control Group,16 men,14 women)and 97 hypertensive patients(50 men,47 women) were selected in this study. The hypertensive patients were further divided into 4 groups based on diastolic function classification.General parameters were measured: left atrial diameter(LAD),mitral tricuspid annular early diastole(E)and late diastole(A)inflow velocities, left atrial area index and strain rate imaging parameters. The difference in these parameters among all groups. Results Left atrial area index of hypertention patients with pseudo-normal left ventricular diastolic function was higher than that of patients with normal left ventricular diastolic function(P0.05).Strain rate index of interatrial septum SRe was dencreased, and Sa was increased(P0.05).Conclusion Sa and SRe of septum combined with left atrial area index is superior to E/A in evaluating left ventricular diastolic function in hypertensive patients, and can avoid pseudo-normal diastolic function.
