Abstract
Aim:To study the effect of Particle Repositioning Maneuver(PRM) Therapy for Posterior Semicircular Canal Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo(PC-BPPV).Methods:Patients with PC-BPPV were enrolled between Jau 2006 to July 2009,all of them were randomly divided into the PRM therapy and the sham repositioning maneuver therapy group.Results: There were 58 patients in the repositioning and 60 patients in the control group.The success rates in the repositioning group 48.3%and the control group was 16.7% on the 4th day after given PRM,86.2% and 23.3% on the 8th day There was a significant different.Conclusion: PRM Therapy for PC-BPPV was safe and effective,all the patients should be treated with PRM if the PC-BPPV was definite.
