Abstract

Objective: To investigate the relationship between Transcranial Doppler(TCD) parameters and Intracranial Pressure(ICP). Methods: ICP and TCD parameters (Vd,Vm,Vs,PI,RI)were examined in Thirty high ICP patients controls by the detection of TCD ,lumbar paracentesis and ICP detector. Results: In the patiens group, PI,RI were increased and Vd,Vm were lowered as ICP elevated, and there were extraordinary signiffcant difierences compared with those in the normal controls (P0 001). While Vs showed no difference between the two groups(P0 05), PI and RI were hyply positively correlated with ICP, Vd and Vm were hyply negatively correlated with ICP, and Vs was lowerly negatively correlated with ICP. Conclusion: TCD parameters may help to verify the existence of the increase of ICP and its degree, and they may provide the objective basis for the clinical treatment.
