A comparison between Tureduregusa and Taoism

Abstract

One of the important themes in Kenkou’s work Tureduregusa is the inconstancy of life. In this thesis, the author mainly explores kenkou's aesthetic conceptions based on his own particular philosophy, as well as the connection between his philosophy as reflected in the work and that of two ancient Chinese philosophers Laozi and Zhuangzi, the founders of Taoism. This outlook has an inseparable connection with that of Laozi and Zhuangzi.
