Government Reform and the Improvement of the Socialist Market Economy System

The strategie mission put forward at the 16th Convention of the Communist Party of China, is to establish a perfect socialist market economy system. Government reform will be the focus of the coming reform, which has a strategie significance for establishing a perfect socialist economy system. This can be further elaborated on as follows: the government system which has to be innovated urgently is a hard nut left by the planned economy system, and it is also the main obstacle to perfecting the socialist market economic system; Government reform is the critical point in perfecting the socialist market economic reform because government system is the intersection of the economic system and the polit-ical system.
