Abstract
Based on spot checks in three residential areas located in Shanghai,this article explains the impacts of the restriction of plastic bags on the consumption of plastic bags.Through the analysis of the result which includes changes of consumption amount of both total plastic bags、different kinds of plastic bags and changes of the using rate of unidentified plastic bags,etc,it is found that the regular stores and supermarkets comply with the policy well but most individual shops and stall-keepers do not,so effective reduction in consumption of plastic bags has not shown up.Since some positive effects of the restriction of plastic bags can be affirmed by the research,the policy should be supported positively.Finally,the article makes some suggestions for perfecting the execution of the policy.
