Abstract
The activated carbons was modified by N2at high temperature and ammonia and the pore structure parameters and surface chemical properities of modified activated carbon was analysised by surface area and porosity analyzer,elemental analyzer and FT-IR. The adsorption performance of modified activated carbons was evaluated by color removal at equilibrium adsorption capacity as the criterion for evaluation. The results show that the color removal of the activated carbons modified by 15% ammonia and 500 ℃ N2atmosphere are improved to 22. 7% 、 19. 1% in contrast to the original activated carbons,the chemical oxygen demand( COD) of them reaches 96. 8% and 96. 3%,and the nonpolar adsorption of them also be strengthenned. The study on kinetic parameters shows that the adsorption is best described by pseudo-second-order kinetic.
