Abstract
Faulus are extremely developed in Shuangcheng Depression, its direction is in SN and NNE, on the sectional plane faults are formed in different periods. The control of faults to the hydrocarbon migration and hydrocarbon accumulation include that the big fault F_1 on the base acts as a pressure partition boundary, by which hydrocarbon migration direction is controlled, and a channel is provided by the faults for hydrocarbon migration and shelter condition is provided by its seal for hydrocarbon accumulation. The analysis on the characteristics of faults and control to the hydrocarbon migration shows that Shuangxi steep slope area is the direction of hydrocarbon migration. It is considered that Shuangxi slope is the favorable area for hydrocarbon exploration by analyzing the conditions of sedimentation and tectonics.
