Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on postoperative complications in patients with spinal surgery. Methods Eighty-six patients with spinal surgery were selected from the People's Hospital of Mei County from August,2008 to August,2010.The patients were randomly divided into intervention group and control group(n=43).Conventional nursing was given the two groups of the patients. In addition, the patients in intervention group were received integrated care intervention.Postoperative complications, psychological status, and other clinical indicators of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results Compared with control group, respiratory depression, urinary tract infections, pressure ulcers, and deep vein thrombosis rate of intervention group were significantly lower, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P0.05).At the same time, the scores of anxiety and depression of intervention group were both significantly decreased compared with control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusions Nursing intervention for patients with spinal surgery is of great clinical significance in reducing the incidence of postoperative complications. It is worthy of further application and promotion.
