Abstract
OBJECTIVE To know the distribution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection and the trend of Resistance in hospital,in order to provide some advice to use drugs in clinical.METHODS Investigate the susceptibility results of 219 P.aeruginosa samples which in our hospital from Jan 2007 to Dec 2009.RESULTS Most P.aeruginosa isolates were isolated from lower respiratory tract in 219 samples, and surgical wound followed, mainly in the ICU(34.2%) and then in respiratory medicine(26.5%).neurosurgery(21.5%) and other departments. The sensitivity of P.aeruginosa was higher to cefoperazone/sulbactam(98.2%),meropenem(92.2%),imipenem(91.8%);The resistance rate were than 50.0% of the antimicrobial drug were gentamicin(87.2%),piperacillin(55.7%),tobramycin(52.5%).CONCLUSION P.aeruginosa is an important bacterial infection in hospitals,And it should strengthen the monitoring of drug resistance of P.aeruginosa in order to reduce the emergence of multidrug-resistant strains and the spread of hospital infections.
