Main idea of China's marine major function oriented zoning

Marine major function zoning,dubbed as a new attempt based on major function zoning theory,come up with some new problems,which deserve further research.Based on the relationship between marine major function oriented zoning and marine functional zoning,this paper covered some basic issues of marine major function zoning,concerning basic concept,fundamental principle,hierarchy,and essential path.It defines basic concept of marine major function oriented zoning,and presents the principle of nature-esteemed,national policy implementation as well as regional coordination.Hierarchy of national sea territory and marine major function oriented zoning system was studied.The major function oriented zoning path of internal water,territorial water,island, exclusive economic zone and continental shelf was designed respectively.
