METALLOGENESIS OF GOLD DEPOSITS IN TAIYANGSI ORE CONCENTRATION AREA OF NORTH QINLING

Abstract

The area of Fengjiachang in Tianshui County and Taiyangsi in Liangdang County of Gansu Province is a key area for resources assessment and mineral prospecting, and it is an important ore concentration area within North Qinling Metallogenetic belt of Qinling-Dabie Metallogenetic Province. The study of regional tectonic setting show that in the study area, there exist the great rock masses which could provide the thermal source for metallogenesis, well developed fractures, especially, the deep great fault passing through the area were favorable conduit channel for upward migration of ore solution. The author summarized the geological characteristics of metallogenetic belt from 3 factors as stratigraphy, structures, magmatite and alteration of wall rock, briefly overviewed the features of some typical gold in the study area, pointed out the factors of ore control and prospecting indicators on the basis of the above mentioned researches.
