Treatment of refractory glaucoma with modified sclera dencleisis.

Objective To study the effect of sclera dencleis is to treatment of refractory glaucoma. Methods 28 cases (28 eyes) refractyroy glaucoma were diagnosed . The were neovascular glaucoma in 16 eyes,non_lens glaucoma in 3 eyes,and 9 eyes had accepted twice or more trabeculectomy.All eyes were high intraocular pressu re (39.38～84.32 mmHg,average 55.42 mmHg).The situation of intraocular pressure, UBM and silit_lamp were observed after operation. Results After operation ,16 cases were followed up for more th a n 12 months,10 cases for 6～12 months,and 2 cases were not followed up. Iris neo v ascular were disappeared after operation in all neovascular glaucoma cases. The p ostoperative pressure was ≤30 mmHg in all cases,and ≤21 mmHg was 86%. 5eyes oc curred detachment of choroid and cured by using medicine. Conclusion Sclera dencleisis is an effective surgical method t o therapy refractory glaucoma.
