Abstract

Leaf photosynthetic temperature characteristics of wild rice were studied. The results showed that light compensation point of photosynthesis of wild rice un-folding leaves was in the range of 40~(85 μE/(m~2·s)). Light saturation point of their photosynthesis was in the range of 900~(1 040 μE/(m~2·s).) Low temperature compensation point of their photosynthesis was 2~3℃. Over 2~3℃, photosynthesis increased with the increase of temperature, and the maximum value was measured under 30℃, and then it began to decline. The optimum temperature of their photosynthesis was 25~35℃. High temperature compensation point of photosynthesis was at 48~50℃. The respiration rate was 2.5~(4.8 μmol/(m~2·s).) The respiration rate also increased with the increase of temperature, but the maximum value was measured under 43~45℃, then the respiration rate decreased. Apparent quantum yield was in the range of 0.01~0.05. From 15℃ to 35℃, higher ratio of photosynthesis to respiration and apparent quantum yield was measured in wild rice leaves.
