Abstract

Life,one of the artistic dimensions of SHE Cong-wen's novels on western Hunan,is the key to interpret SHEN's novels.The essence of SHEN's novels is the harmony between man and nature,which is also SHEN's ideal.Natural sex,childlike innocence and strength are the natural expressions of life in SHEN's novels.Death,love,self-sufficiency and peacefulness in the novels show SHEN Cong-wen's humanity.
