Abstract
Objective To study the effects of Thyroxine(T4) on the serum sex hormone concentrations in female rats. Methods The serum hormone concentration was measured with radioimmunoassay(RIA).Results T4[100μg/(kg·d)]decr-eased serum LH concentration in female rats significantly(P0.01),but had no effect significantly on serum FSH,E2 and P concentration(P0.05).T4[600μg/(kg·d)] decreased serum LH,E2 and P concentration in female rats significantly(P0.01),but had no significantly effects on serum FSH concentrations in female rats(P0.05).Conclusion High dose T4 long-term cpalend had significantly inhibitory effects on the serum sex hormones concentrations in female rats.
