Abstract

In this paper, volatile oil from the Cinnamomum camphora leaves and branches were obtained by steam distillation. And the yield of their volatile oils were 1.55% and 0.336% respectively. The two essential oils were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and the identified components were compared. They have the same main compositions, but different in relative mass.30 compositions were identified, amounting to 94.45% and 89.73% of the total area of the peaks respectively.Terpene is the major chemical constituent in the volatile oil.
