To Think over English Grammar Teaching

English grammar is one of the compulsory courses for English majors in our college. However English grammar teaching perhaps has been the most boring course among various courses for English majors. From beginning to end grammar deals with insipid grammatical rules for students, consequently grammar teaching is hard to become interesting. This article centers on how to make English grammar teaching interesting by talking about students' characteristics, the curriculum design of English grammar teaching in our college and the advantage of implicit grammar teaching compared with method of traditional English grammar teaching. The article holds that English grammar teaching should have a basis in reality regarding students and take the implicit grammar teaching as the mainstay and explicit grammar teaching as supplementary. English grammar teaching will become help and interesting by fully mobilizing the students interest.
