Study of relationship between ST-segment depression/heart rate hysteresis of the exercise electrocardiography test and coronary heart disease

Objective To explore the relationship and clinical singnificances between ST-segment depression/heart rate hysteresis of treadmill exercise electrocardiography test and coronary heart disease.Methods Totally 136 patients with suspected coronary heart disease underwent treadmill exercise test and coronary angiography during one week.For each patient,the maximum value of ST/HR hysteresis was caculated.Results Of 136 patients,86 were positive,21 were suspected positive and 78 were real positive according to tradional ST-segment depression standard.83 were positive and 75 were real positive according to ST/HR hysteresis standard.The sensitivity、specificity、and accurity of tradional ST-segment depression standard and ST/HR hysteresis standard in the coronary heart disease is 71.4%、86.2%、75.8% and 90.3%、86.8%、89.0% respectively.Conclusion The ST/HR hysteresis of treadmill exercise electrocardiography test can significantly improve the diagnostic performance of the exercise ECG test for the coronary heart disease and is a valuable index in the detection of cardiomyopathy ischemia.
