Development of Interactive Web Applications

Abstract

It is a necessary function of a Web application system to provide the dynamic exchange of data according to user's requests. JSP is a new technology for developing a Web application with the interactions between the application system and its users. In this paper, the main features of the JSP technology are briefly analyzed. After that, the major techniques in developing an interactive Web application by use of JSP are discussed. Then, an online CAI system developed by us, as an example of the development of Web applications based on JSP, is reported.
