Abstract

Objectives To explore the significance of serum level of IL-1β,IL-6 and PAPP-A in the pathogenesis of coronary artery lesions. Methods Fifty patients with unstable angina,45 patients with stable angina and 30 healthy controls enrolled the study. All patients were confirmed by angiography.According to the severity of coronary artery lesions, the patients were divided into three groups:low-grade lesion group,middle-grade lesion group and high-grade lesion group;the relationship between the level of IL-1β,IL-6,PAPP-A and the severity of coronary artery lesions was analyzed. Results The serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and PAPP-A in the unstable angina group were higher than those in the stable angina group and in the control group(P0.01).The relationship between the serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6,PAPP-A and the severity of coronary artery lesions was no statistically related(P0.05) among the three groups. Conclusions The study indicates that the higher serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and PAPP-A may affect the inflammatory progress in the coronary artery lesions. So the higher serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and PAPP-A is likely one of the indexes to predict the stability of the coronary artery lesions.
