Abstract
A respiratory physical teaching experimental apparatus was developed based on flow similarity theory. The V-pcurve and the lung compliance model with or without intrathoracic pressure were measured. It showed that the V-p curve and lung compliance were similar to the actual lung. The simulation of intrathoracic pressure showed that the lung compliance decreased, which agreed with the actual lung. This teaching apparatus could simulate the viscoelastic characteristics of actual lung and measure the V-pcurve and the compliance of lung model.
