Abstract

Objective To study the temporal changes of SP-A and SP-D in the early stage of acute lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide.Methods 110 SD young rats were randomly divided into ALI and normal control groups(six subgroups in each group).LPS(4 mg/kg)was given intraperitoneally in ALI group.The same amount of normal saline was given to the subjects in the control group.8 rats in each subgroup were killed at 6,12,24,36,48 and 72 hours after the injection.Western blot was used for the detection of SP-A and SP-D in the lung tissues.Results SP-A and SP-D had no significant changes at 6 and 12 hours in ALI(P 0.05).SP-A elevated greatly from 24 to 48 hours(P 0.01),and reached the top at 36 hours(6.94±0.80,P 0.01).SP-D slipped to the nadir(0.92±0.11,P 0.01)at 48 hours.Conclusion The changes of SP-A and SP-D in lung tissues of ALI are time-dependent.SP-D has a close relationship with the severity of ALI.SP-A in lung tissues has more compensational potential than SP-D.
