Abstract
Connecting rod is one of the important components to connect engine piston and the crankshaft, and it is one of the main under-stress parts of internal combustion engine during movements. This paper,by means of numerical simulation, analyzes the finite element of automobile engine connecting rod. ANSYS software is applied for modeling and mapping its stress along two different paths. The maximum and minimum stress boundary is obtained, which will provide a reference for subsequent fatigue analysis and dynamic simulation.
