Abstract

A method for the expeditous corroboration of melamine residue in aquatic products was established by using high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).Acetonitrile solution was used to precipitate proteins and extract the target analyte.A SCX-C18 mixture filled RP-HPLC column was used for separation and select reaction monitoring (SRM) positive ion mode was used for determination. The limit of detection was 20 μg/kg for LC-MS/MS.The correlation coefficient of linear calibration curve was over 0.99 within the melamine concentration range of 40.0-500.0 ng/ml.The recovery range of melamine by this method was 66%-113%.
