Abstract

China's entry into WTO will bring about both opportunities and challenges to the banking industry in China,especially state owned commercial banks.At present,their assets are of poor quality.And their operation is of low efficiency Moreover,they lack experiences in international competition;China's entry into WTO will have great impact on them in the aspects of banking business,competition for talents,excellent clients and risk avertion.At the same time,it will provide a good opportunity for them to develope and participate in international competition.Therefore,they should make a reform to the ownership system,adjust their business strategies in the orientation of markets and clients,perfect the management of personnel and the assignment system so as to improve their capacity in managing risks.
