Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of citalopram in the treatment of generalized anxietv disorder. Methods:A total of 73 patients with generalized anxiety disorder were randomly divided into citalopram group and alprazolam group, and both groups were followed up for 6 weeks. The efficacy and Safety were evaluated with HAMA,SAS and TESS.Results: The significant improvement rate and the responsive rate of citalopram group and alprazolam group were 69.4%and 91.7%,67.6%and 89.2% respectively, and there were no significant differences between the two groups. But citalopram was better in the metaphase and later,The occurrence of side effects was much less for citalopram in comparison with alprazolam(P0.01),and the side effects were mild. Conclusions: Citalopram is effective in the treatment of geheralized anxiety disorder with mild side effects and good compliance.
