Nursing on Severe Craniocerebral Injury with Incision of Trachea

Objective:To summarize the nursing experiences on severe craniocerebral injury with incision of trachea and to boost quality of care.Methods:The clinical data and nursing methods of 53 cases with incision of trachea in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively from January 2006 to January 2008.Results:37 cases in 53 patients were extubated in 3 to 21 days,and were cured well.13 cases were extubated in 12 to 36 days.3 cases were dead in 3 hours after lifesaver,and all causes of death were brain hernias.4 cases were infected,which was 7.55% in the cases with incision of trachea.Conclusions:The perfect nursing techniques,stern aseptic concepts,disinfection and isolation,and overall basic nursing are indispensable diathesis for nurses in caring patients with incision of trachea.
