Abstract

This paper explores the necessity and feasibility of the college English reform in independent schools attached to college with the background of the cognitive,humanistic and constructivist theories.The paper also introduces a series of reforms on curriculum design,classroom teaching,and the evaluation system of college English for the Independent School based on the analysis of its present situation of College English teaching.
