Abstract

It introduces theory and technology of WebGIS and ArcIMS, analyzing deeply the system framework and running mechanism of ArcIMS. Based on the ArcIMS3.1, integrated with the technol-ogy of JApplet and JSP, an architecture of WebGIS is put forward. The realization is vertified on the East- Alliance Electronic Government Information System Oriented GISData.
