Tourism Exploitation of Ancient Monuments in Xintian,Hunan

Abstract

Ancient castles, ancient villages and ancient pavilions, have been recently discovered in Xintian County, Southern Hunan Province. They have high values for tourism exploitation. They are living fossils to interpret Chinese traditional villages. In the paper, the inherent driving powers of the tourism exploitation are analyzed objectively based on government, resources, markets, location and late-development learning etc. It is also pointed out that there are many similar tourism products in the periphery regions, so the competition is very fierce for markets. On the basis, some strategies are put forward for the tourism exploitation of the ancient castles, ancient villages and ancient pavilions: to stress the principal image of the three ancient monuments tourism development, to design the items of the tourism development systematically, to construct the brand of the tourism elaborately, to strengthen the cooperation between the regions, to plan the development of regional tourism, to protect the cultural ruins strictly so as to realize sustainable development of the three ancient monument tourism.
