Abstract

A farmland with 73hm2 area was taken as study region in the 81th regiment of the 5th Agricultural Division,Xinjiang Autonomous Region, the characteristics of spatial variability of soil nutrients was studied by the method of geostatistics. The results showed that the ratios of available potassium, available phosphorus and available nitrogen were from 25% to 75%,and had medium spatial correlation.By using Kriging interpolation and according to the nutrients criteria, the levels and spatial variability of nutrients of soil were analyzed. In general the contents of available potassium were rich in the re-gion,while available nitrogen, available phosphorus was at moderate and low level. The spatial variability of available N,available P and available K was not obvious.
