Abstract
α1 adrenoreceptor blocker(α1-AB) has been regularly applied for benign prostate hyperplasia for years. As α1 adrenoreceptors have different distribution in human ureter confirmed by RT-PCR,α1-AB has begun to be used in the treatment of urolithiasis because of its spasmolysis.Compared with quinazolines, tamsulosin, with less efficacy on α1-B receptor and less impact on cardiovascular system,is a high selective blocker targeted on interrupting α1-A and D adrenoreceptors which are predominant in human ureter. This paper has summarized recent clinical achievement and to provide reference for clinicians.
