Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of different fluids on the resuscitation of hemorrhagic shock in rats. Methods SD rats were inflicted by 35% hemorrhage to make moderate hemorrhagic shock model. Effects of different resuscitation fluids including Lactated Ringer’s (LR), hydroxyethyl starch 130 (HES130), 6% Dextran40, 7.5% NaCl/6% Dextran40 (HSD), LR+6% Dextran40 and LR+6%HES on mean arterial blood pressure (MAP), left intraventricular systolic pressure (LVSP), the maximal change rate of left intraventricular pressure (±dp/dtmax) in hemorrhagic shock rats were observed. Blood gas and survival time were also observed. Results HES130, HES130+LR effectively maintained the MAP at 80 mmHg, but Dextran40, LR+Dextran and HSD did not. HES130 and LR+6%HES improving hemodynamic parameters and blood gas were significantly superior to Dextran40, LR+Dextran40 and HSD. Animal survival time of HES130 and LR+6%HES group were significantly longer than other groups. Among all groups, the animal survival time in HSD group was shortest. Conclusion Different resuscitation fluids exert obvious different effect on resuscitating hemorrhagic shock. Among these fluids observed in the present study, HES130 and LR+6%HES shows better resuscitative effects.
