Abstract

The genetic relationships among 14 Sea-Island Cotton varieties were analyzed by SSRs to provide credible genetic information in breeding Sea-Island Cotton 280 distinctive loci in total were amplified f rom 41 pairs of SSR primers, and 214 were polymorphic, which accounted for 76.4 %.1 to 15 polymorphic loci could be amplified from each primer, with an average of 6.83.The 14 Sea-Island Cotton varieties could be classified into 4 groups at the level of SM=0.64 by cluster analysis.SSR markers proved to be the work of Sea-Island cotton breeding practice of matching parents,to provide a reliable basis for the molecular level.
