Abstract

In order to investigate the component structure of mating type and metalaxyl resistance of Phytophthora infestans collected from Gansu province,metalaxyl resistance were tested with growth rate method in 186isolates of Phytophthora infestans collected from planted potato during 2007to2012.Mating type were tested using standard strains and dual culture method in 147isolates.The results showed that the A1mating type,A2mating type,A1A2mating type,self-fertile mating type were found in Gansu,and the proportion were 61.20%,20.40%,2.10%and 16.30%,respectively.The response of 186isolates to metalaxyl indicated that 28.50% were sensitive,15.60%were intermediate resistant,and 55.90% were resistant.The component structure of mating type of Phytophthora infestans collected from Gansu province were complex,there were obvious diversity in mating type from different areas.The isolates that were resistant to metalaxyl were ubiquitous in every site.
