Abstract
The color reaction of 2,5-di(2-phenol)-1,3,4-thiadiazole with vanadium was studied. In the prescence of OB-2 and HAc-NaAc buffer solution(pH 4.6),2,5-di(2-phenol)-1,3,4-thiadiazole can react with vanadium(VO_2~+) to form a stable 1∶3 complex. The molar absorptivity is 6.80×10~4 L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1) at 480 nm.Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0.1~2.4 μg/mL.Trace amount of vanadium in tobacco leaf and coal sample have been determined by proposed method and the results obtained are satisfactory.
