Effects of Nitrogen Fertilizer Rate on Agronomic Characters and Quality of Strong Aroma Style of Tobacco

A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of different nitrogen rates on agronomic characters,disease resistance and quality of main tobacco cultivar(Zhongyan100) in central Henan areas.The results showed that compared with nitrogen fertilizer rate of 75 kg/hm2,in treatment with nitrogen fertilizer rate of 52.5 kg/hm2,the growth of tobacco plant was stronger,the plant height was higher after topping,the tobacco leaves were more,the stem thickness was bigger,and incidence of disease was less.The oil of cured tobacco leaf increased,color enhanced and structure became loose,and the flue-cured tobacco leaves had less green,dust sticking and variegation,and single leaf weight increased.Moreover,with nitrogen fertilizer rate decreased,the contents of total sugar and reducing sugar increased,but the content of chlorine decreased.The leaves had good aroma quality and enough volume of aroma,and smoking quality was great.Therefore,under the local ecological conditions,when nitrogen fertilizer rate was 52.5 kg/hm2,the growth of tobacco leaf was stronger,the disease resistance increased,and the quality of cured tobacco leaves were better.
