Abstract

In order to study the effects of oral Cyst-regulating powder on morphological indexes of ovarian and uterine of follicular cyst and explore the mechanism of the medicine on follicular cyst treatment in dairy cow,the medicine was taken by dairy cows with follicular cyst diagnosed by rectal palpation and B-mode ultrasound.Ultrasonic examination was carried out 24h later, and some morphological indexes including diameter of follicular cyst, length and width of cyst ovary, longitudinal diameter of cervix uterus and longitudinal diameter of horn uterus were measured every three days. The results showed the effects of medicine treatment were detected in 28 dairy cows from a total of 32 follicular cyst dairy cows and the effective ratio was 87.5%.The changes of morphological index of ovarian and uterine before and after medicine treatment were as follow: the diameter of follicular cyst was declined significantly after 4 days treatment(P0.05);the diameter became normal after 7days treatment and some cows appeared estrus and ovulation;although the changes of length and width of cyst ovary were not significant different(P0.05) with the control, they became normal size;the longitudinal diameter of horn uterus was declined significant after 16 days treatment(P0.05);the change of longitudinal diameter of cervix uterus was not significant(P0.05),but the size of horn uterus was smaller than that of before treatment. The results of this study indicated that B-mode ultrasound was an effective method to diagnose follicular cyst;cyst-regulating powder had obvious effects on morphological index of ovarian and uterine of dairy cow follicular cyst, and also had significant effects on the treatment of dairy cow follicular cyst.
