Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between lung injury and the expression of Survivin gene in a rat model of severe acute pancreatitis. Methods Forty healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group(n=10) and SAP group of 6 h(n=10),12 h(n=10) and 24 h(n=10).The SAP rat model was induced by injection of 4.5% sodium taurocholate into pancreatic duct.RT-PCR was applied to detect the expression of Survivin gene in the lung tissue, and the apoptosis ratio of the lung cells was determined with TUNEL assay. Results Survivin gene was highly expressed in the lung tissue of the SAP rats complicated with lung injury, and there was no expression in the control group. Conclusion The level of lung injury in SAP may concerned with the expression of Survivin, which may play a role of relieving and repairing the injury of lung.
