Abstract

Natural gas hydrate is formed with water and natural gas under certain temperature and pressure. It is white crystal clathrate.Under standard state,1m~3 hydrates contained 150~170m~3 natural gas.Natural gas could be prepared under 2~6MPa,0~20℃.Common methods are Gudmundsson and Sessen and Mac Doaold.Natural gas hydrate formation needs some conditions. Many factors influence its formation such as gas composition, temperature, pressure, contact area of water to gas and chemical additive etc.The analysis on the feasibility of natural gas hydrate storage from technique and economy is made.Natural gas hydrate storage technique express smaller storage space, better stability and more security to former natural gas storage methods.
