Abstract

The determination conditions of aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, manganese and copper in ferrotitanium by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) were discussed. The sample was decomposed by mixed acid(HNO_3+HF),and aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, manganese and copper in solution were simultaneously determined by ICP-AES.The background interference of iron and titanium were deducted by background correction. The optimal determination conditions of instrument were obtained. The analytical spectral lines for aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, manganese and copper were 396.150 nm,212.412 nm,178.287 nm,324.754 nm and 260.569 nm,respectively. This method was applied to the determination of aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, manganese and copper in ferrotitanium standard sample, and the determination results were consistent with the certified values. The relative standard deviation(RSD,n=7) was 0.56%-3.3%,and the recovery of standard addition was 96%-103%.
