Abstract

Objective To evaluate the advantages of utilizing endoscope in adenoidectomy.Methods One hundred eighty five cases with adenoid hypertrophy were treated by adenoidectomy through nose under endoscope.Results Adenoids were removed completely in each patient and no damage was caused in normal nasopharynx asructures.All patients were followed up from 1 to 2 years,and all recovered without any complication.Conclusion Endoscope provides a direct and clear view of the surgical area that allows the surgeons to remove adenoids accurately and avoid damage of normal nasopharynx structures.
