Objective Making a thorough investigation on the number of chronic filarion patients to care and cure them and to improve their life quality Methods Use clue-method to investigation:the clues revied and supplied by health cure doctors in basic villages were submited to be verified and diagnosed by the professional investigate groups Results By made a difinite diagnosis there exist now 205 chronic filariasis patients dispersed along 47 counties such as Haian Rugao Rudong Tongzhou etc Among them there are 178 case-time of the elephantiasis patients,31 case-time of patients with chyluria,106 case-time of lymphangitis and 15 case-time of hydrocele Conclusion Among 205 chronic filariasis patients now 86 8 percent of them are at their age of 55 or so,which accompanied with various syptoms and signs lots patients have been in their ten years illness,a few of them has suffered from it for more than 40 years For this reason aged chronic filariasis patients should be taken good cure and care of
