Study on Relation between Yu Hua’s Violence Theme and His Southern Temperament

Abstract

This article provides an explanation for Yu Hua’s violence theme from the angle of regional culture.Yu Hua was deeply influenced by Zhejiang’s regional culture which made him emotional and sensitive.And in real life Yu Hua felt he was out of place,understanding reality as irrational and confusing.Enlightened by writers like Kafka and Kawabata Yasunari,Yu Hua developed his writing style of violence theme.
