Abstract

Pluripotent stem cells have been detected in multiple tissues in the adult,participating in normal replacement and repair,while undergoing self-renewal.Neural stem cells self-renew and give rise to neurons,astrocytes and oligodendrocytes in vitro,demonstrating multipotentiality of these cells.Both adult neural stem cells and embryonic stem cells have shown the capacity to differentiation into multiple cell types of the adult nervous system.Neural stem cells hold great promise for neural repair after injury or disease.This review describes isolated,cultured method of neural stem cells and growth factor.
