Abstract
Critical discourse analysis(CDA),as the most prominent approach to discourse is intended to study functional uses of language in social contexts.In this approach the aim of analysis is to detect societal problems,especially ideology and power.Systemic Functional Grammar is seemed to be the major methodological resource of CDA.This paper starts from explanation of the framework of Systemic Functional Grammar to discuss its possibility and application to perform as a tool of CDA.
